An Addendum To The Previous Post…
Used the Carl Zeiss Jena DDR 135mm 1:3.5 MC S a few more times today, and now it is one of my favourite lenses ever. I’ll let the pics speak for themselves I think.
Took our little beardie outside to be a subject for practising with my new M42-EOS adapter with my various M42 lenses. This was on the Carl Zeiss Jena DDR 135mm 1:3.5 MC S, my new favourite lens of all time.

She got startled by a bird flying over head and took a leap to another branch.
And yeah, this image is one of the best photos of her I’ve ever taken. All of these have minimal editing, save for a white balance adjustment. The rest is pretty much straight from the camera.

Random bustard I saw whilst on a road inspection. This image has been pretty heavily cropped, because 135mm isn’t really that long. But it’s still a perfectly usable image. And hooray for successful manual focus on a moving target!

It really is amazing to me that such an old lens has provided such wonderful results. I think I’ll be using this one quite a bit from now on.
